Senior Java Engineer – Web

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related.
3+ years of experience developing Spring/Hibernate or J2EE server software

As Senior Web Engineer you will be an integral part of the Signature SaaS server development team. Your responsibilities will include the full life-cycle of server development, design, coding, and debugging of highly-scalable, enterprise-quality server applications. You can expect to find an exciting mix of technologies and challenges with the opportunity to work from back-end to front-end across our platform (server, web and mobile). You must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Ideally, you have a solid computer science background and a proven track record as hands-on developer.

Responsibilities:

  • Bringing new and innovative ideas to the product and helping to implement the technology to get it there.
  • Design and deliver software that is easy to use, attractive and technically adept.
  • Implement web-tier interfaces and APIs for web and mobile clients using modern web frameworks.
  • Interfacing with product managers, server team, architects, and senior management.

They’re laid back, but get tons accomplished. Everyone is measured by what they contribute, not by the number of hours they’re in front of a keyboard. Requirements:

  • Five or more years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in information security frameworks, practices and principles (e.g. ISO 27X, COBIT, SANS Critical Security Controls, OWASP TOP 10, GAPP, etc.) and proficient in creating and implementing metrics to measure and drive high performance referencing such frameworks.
  • Expert level knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more specific technical areas (e.g. network security, web security, anti-virus/anti-malware, data loss prevention, identity & access management, cryptography, application security, threat and vulnerability management, security event monitoring, incident response, forensics, etc.) that enable the individual to serve as the highest level resource in that area within the organization.
